Who Are the Dillards?

The Dillards are an American Folk Rock/Blue Grass band from Missouri, USA originally founded in 1960s and still playing together today. They are most remembered for playing a recurring role on the Andy Griffith show as "The Darlings."

While "The Darlings" were a purely blue grass band, The Dillards also explored folk rock and are considered one of the founding influences in the "Southern Rock" movement.    They have recorded a total of 15 albums in their long career.    The Dillards continue to write songs and play today.
