Who Was Sandy Denny?

Sandy Denny was an influential British Folk singer active from 1966 till her death in 1978.  She was a member of the bands, "The Strawbs," "Fairport Convention," and "Fotheringay" before releasing four solo albums.

Although never commercially successful, Denny left a lasting mark on the world of folk music and is sometimes considered to be the best folk singer to come out of England.  Her most famous song is "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" which has been covered by Nina Simone, Judy Collins, and others.
